Master Ness began his martial arts journey in the mid-1990s at the USSD Spring Valley dojo in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 1999, he moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, where he opened the Scottsdale dojo and continued sharing the discipline, confidence, and personal growth that martial arts training can provide.

With over 30 years of experience, Master Ness' instruction focuses on effective martial arts technique over flashy movement, helping students build real skill, strong fundamentals, grit, and self-defense awareness.

In 2004, Master Ness traveled to China with United Studios of Self Defense to witness the unveiling of the United Studios stone monument in the courtyard of the Shaolin Temple—an unforgettable experience that reflects his lifelong dedication to martial arts tradition, training, and personal development.

Outside the dojo, Master Ness enjoys snowboarding and brings that same focus, energy, and love of challenge into his teaching.

“I was looking for something for my boys to do and help with 3 boys discipline. Master Ness is great and very energetic in what he does. My boys begged me to hurry and sign them up and sign them up for extra fun events he host.“

"Master Ness is such a great influence on the kids. He has been doing this for a long time. The level of knowledge is incredible. Our son Noah was very hesitant when he started, however he has learned so much in 6 months only I can’t wait to see what he will accomplish in the future!"
